About The Position

DRUM UPSKILL is looking for an Information Security Analyst to join a large financial institution with a headquarters in New York City. In this role, you will work on a team that establishes baseline standard controls, resolves security vulnerabilities, and reduces cyber risk. Being a global organization, it's important that you identify, notify, problem solve, and mitigate all cybersecurity control breaks and vulnerabilities following frameworks and procedures. This role and team is vital to ensure the bank has normal service hours and prevents system and data corruption. To succeed in this role, you will need to understand risk prioritization, be prepared to learn new industry standards and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related discipline
• 3 plus years of experience in information security
• Experience documenting and implementing security policies, standards, and controls
• Experience with business intelligence data analysis and reporting including but not limited to SQL, Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of SDLC, COBIT, COSO, and ITIL frameworks
• Experience using ServiceNow or similar ticketing system
• Lifelong learner seeking to constantly learn cyber security best practices
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Work closely with other IT and Engineering areas of the business to design and deliver a secure company information security infrastructure
• Identify and address all roadblocks that slow down information security projects and initiatives
• Handle complex data and information that provides insights, conclusions and action items to prevent risk
• Provide recommendations, direction, and guidance to ensure alignment with business needs
• Deliver on special security and cyber projects
• Recommend actions to mitigate risk and ensures that world class standards are established and followed
• Present information security policies and standards to business users to ensure policies are understood and followed
• Collaborate with other team members and industry leaders to deliver on information security organization goals
