About The Position
AdventHealth Georgia is seeking a compassionate and board-certified / board-eligible Infectious Disease Physician to join our mission-driven team in Rome. This role is vital to our commitment to whole-person care and supports our mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ. You’ll work collaboratively across departments to manage infectious diseases, lead infection prevention efforts, and contribute to antimicrobial stewardship across our market.
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of Infectious Disease fellowship
- Board certification or eligibility in Infectious Disease
- Active Georgia medical license or eligibility
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Alignment with AdventHealth’s mission and values
Responsibilities
- Provide consultative and direct care for infectious disease patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, surgeons, and primary care providers
- Lead infection control and antimicrobial stewardship initiatives
- Educate patients, families, and staff on disease prevention and treatment
- Assist in protocol development and outbreak response planning
