About The Position

The Infectious Disease Physician position with National Wound Physician Group offers a unique opportunity for clinical satisfaction, autonomy, and flexibility, while ensuring a healthy work-life balance. This role does not require nights, call, or weekend clinical responsibilities, allowing physicians to focus on their patients during regular hours. Physicians will become experts in wound management, learning from highly qualified wound certified physician trainers and Fellowship Directors, and will utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities. Our physicians provide bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states, and we offer comprehensive physician-level wound management training along with a wound fellowship to ensure clinical excellence.

Requirements

• Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice.
• Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in wound management or related fields.
• Interest in mobile practice and flexibility in work schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside wound care in skilled nursing facilities and long-term acute care hospitals.
• Conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility.
• Visit 2-3 facilities per day treating approximately 20-30 patients daily.
• Document clinical findings in real-time using proprietary wound-specific EMR.
