About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Infectious Disease - HIV Physician to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. To this day, Jacobi and NCB remain respected leaders in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women’s health. The Division of Infectious Disease offers comprehensive care to patients with acute or chronic infections and proudly serves a vast immigrant community in New York City, including large Latin American and West African communities in the Bronx. Opportunity Details: Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient HIV and infectious disease care, including services at Jacobi’s designated AIDS/ID Center. Perform thorough patient evaluations, physical examinations, and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic infectious conditions in a high-volume academic medical setting. Order, interpret, and integrate diagnostic and therapeutic testing to guide clinical decision-making. Prescribe and manage appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment regimens. Collaborate with seven Infectious Disease attendings and multidisciplinary care teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Educate, mentor, and supervise Advanced Practice Providers, Residents, and Medical Students. Support the academic mission through teaching and clinical instruction as part of an Albert Einstein College of Medicine appointment. Maintain continuity of care through flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends as needed. Share clinical responsibilities with Attending Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners.

Requirements

  • Active and Unrestricted NYS medical license.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Disease.
  • Current DEA registration and Controlled Substances licensure; BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire).

Benefits

  • Annual Base Salary: $242,000 (Board Eligible); $247,000 (Board Certified) based on 40-hour work week.
  • Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
  • The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $361,720 (Board Eligible) and $367,220 (Board Certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:
  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
