About The Position

Join the Infectious Disease Team at Hartford HealthCare, a dynamic system team of 26 Infectious Disease Physicians. The position involves outpatient consultation including HIV and Hepatitis C patient treatment, inpatient consultations at Hartford Hospital, and wound care. The Specialist will also assist with infection control activities and hospital epidemiology programs, engage in postgraduate medical education for fellows, residents, and medical students, and teach at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine at the Assistant Professor level. The role includes participation in an active hospitalist program, shared call with other ID physicians, and opportunities in transplant medicine. Research resources and opportunities are available, and the organization supports development and wellbeing through the HHC Physician Leadership Development Institute and the Office of Provider Wellness.

Requirements

• BC/BE Infectious disease physician
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of CT

Responsibilities

• Outpatient consultation including HIV and Hepatitis C patient treatment
• Inpatient consultations at Hartford Hospital
• Wound care
• Assisting with activities of infection control and hospital epidemiology programs
