About The Position

Saint Joseph Physician Network (SJPN) has an excellent full time employment opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Infectious Disease physician to join an established practice located in Mishawaka, Indiana. The selected physician will join two full time and one part time Infectious Disease physicians. This is a community based practice conveniently located in a modern Medical Office Building adjacent to hospital. Practice is consultative in nature; members see both inpatients and outpatients. The selected candidate can expect to see basic pathologies such as HIV, MRSA, cellulitis, osteomyelitis, septic joint, meningitis, diabetic foot infection, bacteriema, and abscesses. The team participates in and directs the hospital's Infection Prevention, Infection Control, and Sepsis Programs/Committees. Opportunities for teaching exist with hospital's family medicine residents. Office is closed every Friday afternoon. Weekend call for this opportunity is 1:4. This is an exciting opportunity for the right Infectious Disease physician to be part of a growing practice.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Disease.

Responsibilities

• Join an established practice of Infectious Disease physicians.
• See both inpatients and outpatients.
• Manage basic pathologies such as HIV, MRSA, cellulitis, osteomyelitis, septic joint, meningitis, diabetic foot infection, bacteriema, and abscesses.
• Participate in and direct the hospital's Infection Prevention, Infection Control, and Sepsis Programs/Committees.
• Engage in teaching opportunities with family medicine residents.
