About The Position
Napa Post Acute is hiring an experienced Infection Preventionist (LVN) to join our team! Requirements
- Active California LVN license (required)
- Experience in infection prevention, skilled nursing, or post-acute care preferred
- Knowledge of infection control standards and regulations
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
Nice To Haves
- Infection Preventionist training or certification (IP, CIC, or willingness to obtain)
- Previous experience in a leadership or quality role
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain infection prevention and control policies and procedures
- Conduct ongoing infection surveillance, tracking, and reporting
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (CDC, CDPH, CMS)
- Provide education and training to staff on infection control practices
- Perform audits, rounds, and risk assessments
- Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams
- Lead outbreak investigations and response efforts
