About The Position

Devereux Pennsylvania Children's Services is currently seeking an experienced Infection Preventionist (RN) to join our team. As an Infection Preventionist at Devereux PA Children's Services (DPACS), you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. The Infection Preventionist (RN) is part of our Medical Services team at our residential treatment programs for children and adolescents located at our West Chester and Malvern, PA campuses. Our programs provide clinical treatment, educational instruction, and behavioral intervention services to children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional, and psychiatric challenges and disorders.

Requirements

  • Pennsylvania RN license required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree preferred.
  • Previous clinical experience in a behavioral healthcare setting required.
  • Experience with Infection Prevention policy, procedures, audits, and guidelines preferred.
  • Experience with individuals with cognitive and/or behavioral challenges or medically complex conditions.
  • Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Experience with data collection/analyzing platforms (Radar, Pro-Filer, and/or other internal and external software applications pertinent to the position).
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and adhere to established guidelines.
  • Valid driver's license must be maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure center compliance with state and federal regulations regarding monitoring and treating infections, administering vaccinations, and completing all necessary reporting requirements.
  • Serve as a leader and expert for infection prevention procedures and practices and represent DPACS to external agencies including the Vaccine Program for Children, CDC, and PA Department of Health.
  • Collect and report data on infections and track antibiotic use.
  • Coordinate vaccine administration for students and staff.
  • Ensure Joint Commission standards related to infection control practices are followed.

  • Schedule: 8am-4pm, Monday-Friday.
