In this position, you will perform professional nursing work in the prevention and control of infectious diseases and coordinate mandated infection prevention and control program activities to prevent, detect, and mitigate communicable diseases and infections. Your work will involve recommending and implementing policies, procedures, and processes for identifying, preventing, reporting, and controlling infectious diseases. You will provide related nursing care, conduct outbreak investigations, and conduct infection prevention and control education and training programs. Some of your duties will include overseeing all facets of the infection control program, identifying infection trends, and implementing process improvement initiatives. Additionally, you will monitor the care and treatment of residents, as well as collaborate with facility staff to ensure proper infection control policies and procedures are followed.
