We are hiring an Infection Preventionist to join our team! Full Time or Part Time opportunity.

Requirements

• RN
• Specialty training in Infection Prevention and Control through accredited continuing education.
• CDC certification Infection Control in Long Term Care.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, implement, and oversee the Infection Prevention and Control Program in accordance with current regulations and guidelines governing skilled nursing facilities.
• Establish and maintain infection surveillance program.
• Review, summarize and report data such as Antibiotic Stewardship, facility acquired infections, outbreaks to the Infection Prevention and Control Committee.
• Oversee vaccines/immunization programs.
• Authority and responsibility for ensuring appropriate intervention and education occurs with staff, volunteers, and medical staff when healthcare infection trends, outbreaks or non-compliance to infection control/OSHA are identified.
