We are seeking an experienced and passionate Infection Prevention Specialist to lead our comprehensive infection prevention program and promote a culture of safety across our organization. In this key role, you will: Direct and coordinate hospital-wide infection prevention efforts to ensure compliance with state, federal, and regulatory standards. Serve as a consultant to staff, providers, and leadership on infection control best practices. Develop and deliver education for employees, physicians, and patients on infection prevention topics. Conduct surveillance and reporting of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and collaborate with local health departments as required. Oversee NHSN reporting, manage the annual flu vaccination program, and support the hospital’s Water Safety and Hand Hygiene programs. Participate in construction and renovation projects, ensuring infection control risk assessments are implemented and maintained. Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (BSN) licensed in Ohio, or Master’s degree in Public Health, Respiratory Therapy, or Microbiology.
  • Minimum of one year of related experience in infection prevention, quality, or public health.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and data management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred upon hire, required within one year.
