The Infection prevention Quality Nurse reports to the Director of Quality and Risk Management. 1. The Infection Prevention Nurse is responsible to facilitate the operation of an effective hospital wide Infection Prevention program. The Infection Prevention Nurse role insures compliance with appropriate regulatory, legislative, and accreditation standards. They also provide consultation and education to staff, physicians, and leaders. 2. ACHC Accreditation Coordination role for the hospital and clinics oversees the entire accreditation process from start to finish. The coordinator works with leadership to prepare for accreditation surveys. The coordinator acts as a consult to the organization for questions related to CMS, MDH, and ACHC accreditation standards. 3. The Quality Nurse supports and participates in interdisciplinary performance and quality improvement processes. The Quality Nurse assists with the Sepsis and Antibiotic Stewardship programs and collaborates on Hospital Performance initiatives.
