Willow Creek Health Care Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Infection Prevention (IP) Nurse – LVN to lead our infection control program and ensure the highest level of resident safety and regulatory compliance. Requirements
- Valid California LVN license
- Previous infection prevention/control experience preferred
- Strong understanding of CDC, OSHA, and state regulatory requirements
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Ability to train and guide staff on infection control practices
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, coordinate, and direct the infection control program in accordance with current CDC, OSHA, state, and federal guidelines.
- Ensure the facility follows all standard/universal precautions and infection control regulations.
- Develop, maintain, and routinely update infection control precautions and aseptic techniques to proactively correct problem areas.
- Interpret infection control policies and procedures as needed.
- Maintain a current and comprehensive reference library of infection control materials.
- Provide written and oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator regarding the effectiveness of the infection control program.
- Assist departments in evaluating and classifying routine and unusual outbreaks or infections.
- Participate in performance improvement activities involving infection control and prevention.
- Educate staff on infection prevention best practices, PPE procedures, and compliance requirements.
