About The Position

Willow Creek Health Care Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Infection Prevention (IP) Nurse – LVN to lead our infection control program and ensure the highest level of resident safety and regulatory compliance. Requirements

  • Valid California LVN license
  • Previous infection prevention/control experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of CDC, OSHA, and state regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to train and guide staff on infection control practices

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, coordinate, and direct the infection control program in accordance with current CDC, OSHA, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Ensure the facility follows all standard/universal precautions and infection control regulations.
  • Develop, maintain, and routinely update infection control precautions and aseptic techniques to proactively correct problem areas.
  • Interpret infection control policies and procedures as needed.
  • Maintain a current and comprehensive reference library of infection control materials.
  • Provide written and oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator regarding the effectiveness of the infection control program.
  • Assist departments in evaluating and classifying routine and unusual outbreaks or infections.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities involving infection control and prevention.
  • Educate staff on infection prevention best practices, PPE procedures, and compliance requirements.
