The Infection Prevention Manager will ensure hospital compliance with the Joint Commission and other regulatory standards for Infection Prevention and Control. This role involves performing infection surveillance, conducting outbreak investigations, and overseeing the monitoring of infection prevention practices across all departments. The manager will also report communicable diseases to the state, initiate and revise infection prevention plans, and serve as the Chair for the Infection Prevention subcommittee. Additionally, the position includes providing educational offerings for new employee orientation and ongoing in-services, consulting with department heads and physicians, and participating in performance improvement activities.
