The Infection Prevention Coordinator is a professional nurse with advanced knowledge, skill, and competence in Infection Control. Serves as a resource to all hospital departments, medical staff and community as it relates to preventing disease transmission in all ages (neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric).

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (AD).
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or allied health field.
  • Certified in the practice of infection control or epidemiology.
  • Five (5) years experience in infection control practice or epidemiology.

Responsibilities

  • Directing, administering, and managing the hospital-wide infection control program.
  • Serving as a resource to all hospital departments and medical staff regarding infection control.
  • Preventing disease transmission across all age groups.
