About The Position
The Infection Prevention Coordinator at Medical City Arlington plays a crucial role in the healthcare team, focusing on the prevention and control of infections within the hospital. This position involves coordinating and implementing the Infection Prevention Plan in collaboration with the Infection Prevention Director. The primary objective is to utilize effective guidelines and methods to identify, control, and prevent healthcare-associated infections, thereby ensuring continuous quality improvements for all patients, visitors, and staff. The success of the Infection Prevention Coordinator will be measured by the ability to minimize the spread of communicable and transmittable infections, as well as hospital-acquired infections, within the facility. In this role, the Infection Prevention Coordinator will be responsible for conducting surveillance of infection rates, analyzing data to identify trends, and implementing evidence-based practices to reduce infection risks. The coordinator will also provide education and training to staff on infection prevention protocols and best practices, ensuring that all team members are equipped with the knowledge necessary to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff alike. Additionally, the coordinator will collaborate with various departments to develop and refine infection control policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.
