About The Position

The IPA II assists the Infection Preventionists (IPs) with implementation of IP policies and procedures and best-evidence practices in assigned areas of the Medical Center Entity Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) The IPA II assists with surveillance for healthcare-associated infections, environmental and compliance rounds, performance improvement activities and works collaboratively to reduce infections, improve patient safety and quality of care. Associate degree in healthcare related field and suggested 5 years’ healthcare experience or Bachelors with suggested <2 years healthcare experience. a-IPC certification required. Computer/internet skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) is essential. Candidate must demonstrate excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills. Individual will portray professionalism, positive attitude, enthusiasm and be team oriented in all interactions. Associate degree in a healthcare related field and minimum of five years of work experience in the healthcare related field; or a Bachelor's degree with at least two years of work experience in healthcare and possess certification as an Associate-Infection Prevention and Control (a-IPC). Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills. Ability to portray professionalism, positive attitude, enthusiasm and be team oriented in all interactions. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required. Requirements
