About The Position

Oglala Sioux Lakota Nursing Home is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Infection Control / Restorative Nursing Manager to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for an experienced nurse who is passionate about resident safety, quality outcomes, and fostering a culture of excellence in long-term care. Position Overview The Infection Control / Restorative Nursing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring all aspects of our infection prevention and control program, as well as overseeing our restorative nursing initiatives. This leader ensures compliance with federal, state, and tribal regulations while supporting our mission to provide compassionate, culturally grounded care for our residents.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) preferred; LPN may be considered with significant relevant experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience in long-term care or a related healthcare setting.
  • Working knowledge of CMS regulations, infection control standards, and restorative nursing practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC) or willingness to obtain preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and evaluate the facility’s Infection Prevention and Control Program (IPCP).
  • Conduct facility-wide surveillance and reporting; analyze trends and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead outbreak investigations and ensure proper mitigation procedures.
  • Provide ongoing staff education on infection prevention practices, PPE usage, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Oversee the Restorative Nursing Program, ensuring residents receive individualized restorative care plans aligned with MDS requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing, Medical Director, and interdisciplinary team members to support quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain documentation, audits, and compliance necessary for survey readiness at all times.
  • Support staff competencies, coaching, and performance improvements related to infection control and restorative care.
