About The Position

The Infection Control Preventionist plans, coordinates, and evaluates hospital-wide integrated programs relating to the control and prevention of infection. These programs are responsive to the needs of patients and employees and meet the requirements of JCAHO, CMS, Title XXII, OSHA and all other regulatory organizations, and be responsive to the needs of patients and employees.

Requirements

• Graduate of a State accredited School of Nursing or an accredited collegiate program in an allied science.
• Bachelor's in Science or Nursing required.
• Current CA RN license or healthcare equivalent required.
• Current AHA BLS certification required.
• Must have 3-5 years recent clinical experience in acute care setting.
• One (1) year experience in Infection Control coordination in an acute care setting.

Nice To Haves

• Master's degree preferred.
• Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or equivalent preferred.
• Encompass skills in data management, presentation and analysis.
