About The Position
Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Missouri Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a full-time Infection Control Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Moberly Correctional Center located in Moberly, Missouri. The Infection Control Nurse (LPN) is responsible for performing a variety of duties involving the prevention and control of infectious diseases. The Infection Control Nurse will coordinate the collecting, interpreting, and reporting of data, assist in the development of care plans for patients with infectious diseases, and will serve as a consultant to nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals regarding care, tracking, and reporting of patients identified with infectious disease.
Requirements
- Missouri or Compact Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or ability to obtain one required
- Must be IV certified
- 1 to 3 years’ experience providing nursing care in a public health environment, long term care or acute care setting with focus on infection prevention and control
- Must show current tuberculosis screening documentation and active Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience working with a high degree of autonomy required
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check
Nice To Haves
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred
- Experience in correctional environment preferred
