Springwoods Behavioral Health, an 80-bed behavioral health facility located in Fayetteville, Arkansas, provides acute inpatient treatment for adolescent, adult, and specialty program for women. Visit us online at: https://www.springwoodsbehavioral.com/ Position Summary: This position is responsible for the Infection Control Program and the administration and coordination of the Employee Health Program. As a representative of Springwoods Behavioral Health and Universal Health Services, Inc, all comments, attitudes, actions, and behaviors have a direct affect on the hospital’s image and perceptions of quality service. Interaction with patients, physicians, referral sources, affiliate schools, guests, visitors, volunteer workers, co-workers, supervisors, vendors, etc. must be in a manner that is friendly, supportive, courteous, respectful, cooperative, and professional. This behavior should promote an atmosphere of teamwork, which is congruent with hospital standards and guidelines to promote positive relations. The Infection Control/Clinical Education Nurse, under the direction of the CNO, is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and monitoring of all facets of the Infection Prevention Program provided at the facility in addition to her role as a Clinical Educator. The functions related to infection control require 10-20 hours per week are devoted to these duties. The Clinical Educator provides opportunities for the formal and informal growth and development of clinical and non-clinical staff while working closely with other members of the management team and nursing team. This position is also responsible for the development of new hire orientation which will include input from all levels of staff. Additional education responsibilities will include the coordination of Handle with Care (HWC), CPR and Health Stream, along with the Human Resources Director.
