About The Position

We are always looking for just the right fit! We want people who want to be educators during a child's most formative years. The owner and administration team are on site supporting teachers from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm. We are accepting applications for a Part-Time or Full-Time Resource Teacher's Aide or Assistant Teacher of all levels for our children ages 6 weeks to 6 years old. A Resource Teacher acts as a float who supports all classrooms in our programs, although we primarily seek support for our growing Infant and Toddler programs. We use a team teaching approach where everyone: Develops lesson plans Meets the individual's needs of the children, Is involved in parent communication, Participates in staff and training meetings, Designs an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom, Interacts with the children to support play, exploration, and learning. Presents expectations appropriate to the child's age and developmental level. Plans and implements activities that develop self-esteem and social skills. Communicates appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff. Builds teamwork. Uses assessment tools. Commits to continuing education.

Requirements

  • AA or CDA with two years experience OR B.A. degree in Early Childhood Education or similar field and one year experience OR A similar mix of education and experience
  • 12 post-secondary credits in early childhood development or a related field Or B.S, in any field
  • Experience working with children ages 6 weeks-6 years
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 18 years of age

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with 6 weeks to 6 years preferred, not required.
