About The Position

The Goddard School® located in South Cumming is seeking a motivated and caring floating Assistant Teacher for our infant and toddler classrooms. The position is from 10:00am to 6:00pm with a 30-minute lunch break, Monday to Friday. Join our team, where you can grow and make a real difference in children’s lives every day. Requirements

• High school diploma required
• Love for young children
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children

Nice To Haves

• Desire to advance career to Lead Teacher
• Willingness to work through the CDA program to become qualified

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing fun, age-appropriate lesson plans
• Support children’s development
• Prepare classroom materials and ensure safety and cleanliness
• Supervise children
• Assist in communicating with parents about their child’s progress and activities
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines
• Support routine child care tasks to promote a nurturing learning environment
