About The Position

The Infant Toddler Aide position is a seasonal full-time role based in Weiser, ID, at MSHS El Venadito. This position is non-exempt and hourly, reporting directly to the Infant Toddler Teacher. The role is expected to start around March/April and run through December, with some downtime during the off-peak period. The aide will assist the teacher in planning and conducting classroom activities that promote the growth of various skills in children, including language, social, emotional, physical, intellectual, and communication skills. Responsibilities also include health checks, monitoring developmental screenings, and supervising classroom activities in the teacher's absence.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Current driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
  • Must pass physical examination and background checks, including state day care clearance.
  • Must obtain clearance of Tuberculosis.
  • Must obtain First Aid and CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to read, speak, and write in both English/Spanish in a business setting.
  • 6 months of experience teaching or in early education.
  • Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate credential (CDA).

Responsibilities

  • Assist Teacher with planning and conducting a classroom instructional curriculum and activities for assigned children.
  • Assist in daily health checks of children.
  • Conduct and monitor developmental screening of children.
  • Implement Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) for families.
  • Monitor the progress of individual children.
  • Supervise classroom activities in the absence of the Teacher.
  • Maintain clear, reasonable, consistent, and age-appropriate rules and expectations for children.
  • Perform duties of bus monitor once trained.
  • Multi-task, manage time, meet deadlines, and remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Maintain confidentiality of CC Idaho clients and records.
