This position focuses on providing individualized care, implementing developmentally appropriate activities, and fostering a safe, loving, and engaging classroom environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of infant and toddler development
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
  • Dependable, patient, and passionate about working with young children

Nice To Haves

  • CDA credential or coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred

Responsibilities

  • Create a nurturing, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and daily activities
  • Support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
  • Maintain classroom cleanliness and safety in accordance with Alabama DHR licensing standards
  • Observe, assess, and document developmental milestones
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress and daily activities
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and leadership to maintain a positive school culture
