About The Position

The Learning Experience – South Lyon is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. Our infant classroom is a warm, nurturing environment where babies feel safe, loved, and supported as they reach developmental milestones. If you are passionate about working with infants and helping them grow through play, exploration, and meaningful interaction, we would love to meet you.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months of experience working with infants in a licensed daycare, preschool, or childcare setting (one year preferred).
• Must meet Michigan state childcare licensing requirements.

Nice To Haves

• CDA or coursework in Early Childhood Education (ECE) is a plus.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices for infants.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, loving, and developmentally supportive environment for infants.
• Implement age-appropriate activities that encourage early learning and sensory exploration.
• Support emotional, physical, and developmental growth including tummy time, communication, and fine motor development.
• Communicate daily with families regarding feedings, naps, diaper changes, and development updates.
• Maintain classroom cleanliness, safety, and organization.
• Work collaboratively with co-teachers and center leadership to ensure high-quality care.
