About The Position

The T.E.A. Center is an innovative and nurturing early childhood and youth enrichment center in McLean, VA. We provide a warm, responsive environment where infants feel safe, loved, and supported as they begin their earliest learning journey. We are seeking a caring and dependable Infant Teacher who is passionate about nurturing babies during their most important developmental stage. The ideal candidate will provide responsive care, support early development, and create a calm, engaging environment for infants.

Requirements

• Experience caring for infants in a childcare or home setting preferred
• Understanding of infant development and responsive care-giving
• Patient, nurturing, and dependable personality
• Ability to lift and carry infants and remain active throughout the day
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to pass a background check and meet state childcare requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, responsive care including feeding, diapering, and soothing
• Foster secure attachments through nurturing interactions
• Support sensory exploration and early developmental milestones
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
• Follow daily routines and communicate with families about their child’s day
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations
• Collaborate with team members to support a positive classroom environment
