Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED for Assistant Teachers
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related area for Lead Teachers with 6 credits in Early Childhood
  • CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification
  • Proof of TB Test, and TDAP, 2 Doses of MMR and immunizations
  • Proof of Covid vaccination
  • Physical
  • Obtain new Food Handlers Training Certificate
  • 1+ years of experience in an early childhood environment
  • Must meet and follow all additional City and State licensing requirements

Responsibilities

  • Creating and implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans using the philosophy at Open Space
  • Meeting the individual needs of every child by interacting with them to encourage and support play, exploration, and learning
  • Collaborating with families to create inclusive and culturally relevant classroom and curriculum
  • Providing a fun, welcoming, warm and safe classroom environment
  • Completing assessments quarterly for each child and documenting and maintaining children's portfolios.
  • Professional daily interactions and active communication with children, co-workers, and parents.
  • Meeting and following requirements of all licensing agencies
