About The Position

The Infant Teacher is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants (typically ages 6 weeks to 18 months). This role supports each child's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth through responsive caregiving and engaging activities that promote early learning.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of infants at all times.
  • Create and maintain a warm, positive, and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and sensory-based activities that encourage exploration and development.
  • Support infants in reaching developmental milestones (such as crawling, standing, and first words).
  • Communicate daily with parents and guardians regarding each child's progress, routines, and needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, diaper changes, feedings, and developmental observations.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to maintain a clean, organized, and compliant classroom environment.
  • Follow all licensing regulations, safety guidelines, and center policies.
  • Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and training as required.
