Summary: Responsible for the preparation, delivery and proper storage of human milk and infant formula.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• 1 year food service or healthcare experience
• Complexity of Work: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes computerized inventory system and escalates any issues to leadership.
• Follows food safety guidelines in milk room as well as maintaining stock of preparation supplies.
• Monitors temperature and function of each freezer and refrigerator in the milk room and reports concerns to leadership.
• Monitors inventory of patient specific milk deposits.
• Collect breast milk, insures proper labeling and storage.
• Reviews infant feeding orders and clarifies them with the patient care team.
• Accurately calculates human milk and formula additives based on order and mixes appropriately.
