About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to fill the role of Infant Teacher for our childcare center. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of infant development, strong communication skills, and a nurturing demeanor to provide the highest level of care to our youngest learners, specifically children aged 6 weeks to 2 years old.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in infant care.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire) required.
• Excellent communication skills and patience.
• Ability to respond sensitively to infants' cues and build trust with families.

Nice To Haves

• Associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field preferred.
• Additional certifications in infant care, such as Infant CPR and Safe Sleep Practices.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that supports the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of infants aged 6 weeks to 23 months.
• Serve as the primary caregiver for a small group of infants, fostering secure attachments and providing individualized care and attention to each child's needs.
• Plan and facilitate a variety of stimulating and age-appropriate activities, including sensory experiences, tummy time, music and movement, and language development exercises.
• Establish and maintain open and ongoing communication with parents/guardians, providing regular updates, sharing observations, and collaborating on strategies to support each child's development and well-being.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment at all times, adhering to strict sanitation protocols and ensuring that all infant care practices meet or exceed state licensing regulations.
• Work closely with other daycare staff members to coordinate schedules, share observations, and ensure consistency in care across all age groups.
