About The Position

Optima Family Services, Inc. is an established Early Intervention Program with over 20 years of experience dedicated to providing exceptional In-Home Infant Developmental Services to children and their families in their natural environments. We are seeking compassionate and passionate individuals who possess excellent people skills and enjoy working with children. Our team members benefit from a flexible work schedule that allows them to create an ideal work-life balance. This position involves providing child development and early intervention services to children aged birth to thirty-six months in their homes, specifically in the El Monte, West Covina, Covina, La Puente, Baldwin Park, and surrounding areas. As an Infant Specialist, you will be responsible for planning activities tailored to each client that encourage parent involvement and high child participation. You will monitor the progress of assigned clients through regular observations and client contacts, providing feedback on Initial Evaluations, Quarterly Reports, Individual Program Plans, and any other required documentation. The role requires driving from home to home to deliver services, making it essential to have a valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Special Education, Early Childhood, Human Development, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field, along with at least one year of experience working with infants and children. Alternatively, candidates with an Associate's degree and two years of experience, or those with 24 semester credits in relevant fields and three years of experience, will also be considered. Experience with children with disabilities is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to adapt to different family environments. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required, and candidates must be at least 18 years old and fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
