Our teachers are nurturing, patient, and dedicated to helping infants explore their world in a safe and loving environment. We are seeking a caring Infant Assistant Teacher to join our Bushwick team. This role is perfect for someone who loves working with babies and wants to support their early development through play, care, and connection.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience working with infants in a childcare, daycare, or early education setting preferred.
• Coursework or certification in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or CDA credential a plus.
• Ability to meet all New York State childcare licensing requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred (training available).
• Reliable, patient, and passionate about working with children.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Infant Teacher in creating a safe, warm, and nurturing classroom environment.
• Assist in daily routines including feeding, diapering, napping, and individualized care.
• Engage infants in age-appropriate sensory activities that promote early growth and development.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment that meets all state and center standards.
• Communicate daily with parents and staff about each child's progress, needs, and routines.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation policies to ensure the well-being of every child.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain consistent classroom coverage and ratios.
