About The Position

The Industry Vertical Expert for North America at Siemens Energy will play a crucial role in driving business growth and market visibility. This position is hybrid, allowing for both remote and office work, and is based in either Houston, TX or Raleigh, NC. The role involves staying informed on market developments, conducting internal alignment calls, attending customer meetings, and working on strategies for business fields. The expert will be responsible for reviewing target figures and ensuring alignment with the global strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and/or Business field.
  • 5+ years of sales, marketing, business development, or engineering experience with industrial and infrastructure application customers.
  • Experience with High Voltage generation, transmission and distribution products and solutions is required.
  • Ability to build, grow and maintain strong executive relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Candidate must be located in either Houston, TX or Raleigh, NC surrounding areas or be willing to relocate.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and occasionally internationally.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Gain market visibility by identifying new business opportunities early and regularly updating market information and opportunities pipeline via the Sales Force tool for Order Intake forecast and planning.
  • Support the growth of Industry customer segments with a coordinated go-to-market strategy, innovative business models, and new concepts as part of a global sales function team.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for the complete transmission portfolio to customers and internal sales colleagues in commercial matters, influencing teamwork.
  • Engage at all levels of the clients' organization, negotiate and manage contacts, and build customer relationships within multiple client verticals to effectively position Siemens Energy's technologies and solutions.
  • Continuously identify new sales opportunities and provide consultative sales support by building value propositions for Siemens Energy transmission products, services, and solutions.
  • Support internal teams by offering account-specific, market, and competitive insights to help develop compelling value propositions.
