About The Position

The Industry Specialist is a strategic role designed for a professional with a dual background in Information Technology Systems and Marketing/Sales. As of 2026, the Public Safety and Security market is projected to reach $784.08 billion, driven by a critical need for integrated AI-driven digital evidence management (DEM). In this role, you will be the primary authority on industry trends, product capabilities, and the competitive landscape. You will advise the Marketing, Business Development, and Product teams on how to secure increased market share by aligning technical innovation with the specific procurement and operational needs of government and law enforcement agencies.

Requirements

  • Dual Expertise: A strong background in Information Technology Systems (e.g., cloud architectures, API design, or digital evidence workflows) combined with a proven interest or experience in Marketing and Sales.
  • Strategic Communication: Ability to collaborate across technical and business teams to align product launches with overall business growth goals.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in monitoring product performance metrics and analyzing user feedback to drive continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Public Sector Experience (Preferred): Deep familiarity with law enforcement, criminal justice, or emergency management infrastructure. If candidate does not have this experience, then must demonstrate ability to understand industries.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Advisory & Growth Leadership Market Share Expansion : Advise leadership on go-to-market (GTM) strategies to capture a larger share of the projected $1,124.77 billion public safety market by 2030.
  • Product Roadmap Influence : Work with the Product team to prioritize features—such as agentic AI, cross-source validation, and unified timelines—that address the 2026 industry demand for deeper investigative context.
  • Business Development Support : Serve as a technical advisor to the sales team, helping to convert high-intent government leads by demonstrating how products meet complex CJIS and NIST compliance standards.
  • Industry & Competitive Intelligence Full Industry Understanding : Stay at the forefront of "GovTech" trends, including the shift from manual paperwork to "clickwork" and the rise of autonomous AI agents in public administration.
  • Competitive Analysis : Maintain a real-time understanding of major players (e.g., Axon, Motorola Solutions, Nice Ltd.) and identify "unmet user needs" that provide a competitive edge for the organization.
  • Legislative Monitoring : Track changes in federal funding and policy that reshape state and local tech priorities.
  • Cross-Functional Marketing & Sales Alignment Messaging & Content: Translate complex IT system capabilities into "objection-handling intelligence" and high-impact content for marketing campaigns.
  • Sales Enablement: Create "competitive battlecards" and technical whitepapers that allow the sales team to position the product as a definitive leader in government AI.
  • Persona-Driven Strategy: Help segment audiences by buyer persona and stage in the buying cycle to improve lead conversion and relevance.
