We are looking for a highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual to drive innovation and strategically support Guidewire's industry-leading presence in hazard data and analytics. This role combines three critical functions: serving as the client-facing expert on hazard data in the insurance industry, establishing thought leadership in property risk analytics, and providing deep product expertise on hazard data solutions for insurance applications. You will actively champion the value of data as a strategic business asset, lead the development and communication of new value propositions to the market, and translate business concepts into actionable strategies. This position requires direct customer interaction, strategic sales support, and the ability to bridge technical hazard data analytics with insurance business needs.

  • Serve as the primary technical expert on natural and man-made hazards affecting the P&C industry.
  • Lead customer-facing interactions for data inquiries and outbound sales efforts.
  • Demonstrate the value of HazardHub products in terms of insurance business metrics (loss cost, claim frequency, claim severity, loss ratio).
  • Be the industry spokesperson for HazardHub, reinforcing Guidewire’s position as the industry thought leader on natural hazards and property risk analytics.
  • Publish opinion pieces, speak at conferences, and coordinate inbound media inquiries.
  • Serve as a regulatory liaison for customers filing HazardHub data with the Departments of Insurance.
  • Formulate and implement strategies for regulatory filings of our models, both from our customers and internally through RSOs.
  • Maintain deep technical knowledge of hazard products and value propositions.
  • Advise product development for our hazard data strategy, climate risk, property resilience, and maintain expertise across multiple hazard models.
  • Translate product capabilities to market needs, customer pain points, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support product, data science, and database teams in ensuring market relevancy.
  • Experience working in property lines of business for 10-15 years with exposure to actuarial underwriting or insurance product management workflows.
  • Proven track record of direct customer interaction and relationship management.
  • Scientific or analytical background with strong data interpretation skills.
  • Experience with predictive machine learning modeling and analytics.
  • Experience with insurance regulatory processes and compliance requirements.
  • Background in science, analytics, or other disciplines that facilitate a deep understanding of the science behind our models.
  • Background in actuarial science or a related quantitative field.
  • Previous thought leadership experience in insurance or risk management.
  • Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your role as well as use data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.
