The Agency team supports all of Accenture media relations across geographies, industries, functions, and strategy and insights. Writers on the team tell the Accenture story through multiple lenses and formats to help the company strengthen and advance its impact and growth in the marketplace. By writing and editing high-quality content, as well as pitching stories to media, the team helps advance Marketing + Communications’ goals and serves as stewards of the highest editorial standards. The Industries Media Relations communications people help promote, protect, and defend the Accenture brand. This role requires a candidate who can work across various industries, including Resources, Financial Services, and Consumer Goods and Services, with expertise in at least one area being preferred. The ideal candidate is an enterprising communications expert with experience pitching top-tier media, resulting in earned media outcomes. This highly motivated marketing or communications professional must possess impeccable writing skills, be detail-oriented, a proactive team player, and demonstrate exemplary judgment and an ability to transform abstract and complicated issues and information into simple and powerful narratives. The specialist will work closely with global industry media leads to write and edit a wide variety of media materials on diverse topics such as energy, utilities, natural resources, banking, insurance, retail, and consumer goods. This includes articles, news releases, reports, copy about iconic thought leadership, key messages, and social scripts, with topics varying based on industry and regional priorities. Collaboration with team members, client engagement teams, and other relevant parties, including clients, is essential to shape ideas and narratives that align with Accenture’s strategic messages and themes. The role also involves interviewing subject matter experts from across services, corporate functions, and global programs to inform messaging and editorial, translating technical language into clear and accessible copy, and identifying connection points across various Accenture initiatives to develop overarching storylines. Furthermore, the specialist will collaborate with global media and industry analyst directors, industry marketing directors, and client executives to help develop content and lead timely responses to media and analyst requests, while upholding the highest editorial standards and ensuring the application of the Accenture style guide.
