About The Position

An Industrial Vehicle Service Technician diagnoses, repairs, and maintains electric, propane, and diesel-powered forklifts and material handling equipment. Key responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting complex hydraulic and electrical systems, conducting safety inspections, and providing on-site or in-shop repairs to ensure operational safety and efficiency.

Requirements

• Understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Skilled in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and computers.
• Ability to perform strenuous work, lift heavy parts, and work in various weather conditions if in a field role.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Strong verbal skills for interacting with customers and team members.
• Valid Driver's License

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with diesel, automotive, or heavy equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot engine, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems using diagnostic tools and software.
• Perform routine services such as fluid changes, lubrication, battery care, and brake adjustments.
• Inspect equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Replace or overhaul components like transmissions, masts, and motors.
• Accurately document all work performed, parts used, and time spent on repair orders.
• Communicate with clients regarding repair needs and recommendations.
