About The Position

Under direct supervision, you will coordinate all aspects of tool room inventory for tools, dies, materials, parts, and equipment. Your core impact Can you issue tools and parts to technicians and capture every transaction so nothing is missed? You will. Will you hunt down missing or misplaced items and reconcile records? Absolutely. Are you able to receive, unpack, and store incoming tools, equipment, and parts—and reorder when stock runs low? That’s a key part of the job. Comfortable entering data into business operations software and supporting purchasing and receiving workflows? You’ll do that daily. Do you spot defects or wear quickly? You’ll inspect items and report any issues to supervisors. Proud of a tidy workspace? You’ll keep all parts clean, clearly identified, and in proper locations. Up for clerical tasks? You’ll handle administrative activities as directed by the manager. Team-minded? You’ll participate in weekly and monthly team meetings. Flexible to help where needed? You may interface with purchasing and receiving; repair, service, or lubricate tools and equipment; deliver tools by hand or hand truck; and mark items with tags, stamps, or electric markers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and one year related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Regular: standing, walking, using hands to finger/handle/feel, reaching with hands and arms, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and talking or hearing.
  • Occasional: sitting.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
  • Regular: close vision and color vision.
