About The Position

Airbus Aerosystems Kinston is looking for an Industrial Systems Design Engineer to join our Engineering department based in Kinston, NC The Industrial Systems Design Engineers mission is to analyze and validate the Kinston plant as-is running industrial system capacity and performance to better determine the to-be solutions which may be needed for capacity increase (ramp-up) and/or improvement of the performance. They will support the OMFZ Industrial Architect who is responsible to validate the consistency of the solutions and investments needed. This continuing process. Your Working Environment: The Airbus Aerosystems Kinston facility sits at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing, specializing in the production of large, advanced composite aerostructures. Our team builds critical components for the state-of-the-art Airbus A350 XWB, including the composite center fuselage and wing spar.

• able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Daily
• able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Daily
• able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. Daily
• able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. Daily
• able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Occasional

Responsibilities

• Industrial system as-is value stream models and simulation: As-is VSA As-is Airbus Lean design guidelines maturity assessment As-is Resilience assessment
• Industrial capacity as-is assessment and simulation: As-is Macro PERT and critical path assessment As-is Standard Line Balancing and CVAT Capacity bridge strategy
• To be industrial VSA and capacity To-be industrial VSA and SLB Capacity bridges proposals to recover capacity and/or reach ramp-up
• Support the industrial architecture trades: The above deliverables will support the Industrial Architect to establish the priorities in terms of improvements implementation and needed investments.
• Loop the above points as needed
