About The Position

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Automotive or Industrial paint processes.
• Ability to adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities.
• High standards of craftsmanship.
• Ability to interpret technical data and maintenance manuals.
• Ability to work independently and interface with cross-functional disciplines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to drive tasks to completion.
• Self-motivated with problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent hand skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• High attention to detail.
• Experience with paint pressure pots.
• Experience with plural paint system.
• Forklift experience.
• Crane experience.
• Respirator experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the proper PPE supplied equipment.
• Clean and prepare surfaces to be painted primarily by surface blasting.
• Mask off areas that will be paint free.
• Mix paint per instruction from paint vendor or paint specifications.
• Clean and store painting equipment, including PPE.
• Paint surfaces as called out per Paint spec and/or WO and drawings/ITP if applicable.
• Understand and carry out oral and written instructions given by Supervisor/Manager or customer expectations and requirements.
• Complete required certs and paperwork legibly for documentation.
• Perform incidental duties such as hanging pipe, masking, crane operation, forklift operation, and other duties as assigned.
• Maintain work areas per 5S.
