This is a role within Systems' Manufacturing and Production group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) correctly read and interpret shop orders for correct paint color and options, and (ii) utilize airless and/or conventional spray equipment for application of paints, lacquers, or enamels to metal surface where medium quality finish is required; ensure work assignments pass process checks and final inspection.

Requirements

No minimum education required
No prior experience required
Must adhere to all safety rules and requirements, including proper use and fit of respirators and other personal protective equipment. This may include maintaining a clean-shaven face at all times due to OSHA regulations
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 100 pounds
Ability to stand, walk, and sit up
Ability to use hand to finger, handle, and feel
Ability to climb and balance
Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl
Ability to reach with hands and arms
Ability to see, talk, and hear

Responsibilities

Correctly read and interpret shop orders for correct paint color and options
Utilize airless and/or conventional spray equipment for application of paints, lacquers, or enamels to metal surface where medium quality finish is required; ensure work assignments pass process checks and final inspection
Maintain and keep equipment and area in a safe, clean condition and working order
Utilize automated or manual monorail for moving product in and out of paint booth
Clean and maintain, on a daily basis, equipment used in the paint booth
Utilize hoist, cranes, and lift tables
Prepare surfaces for painting as required by cleaning or other methods as required
Comply with all company environmental policy
May do masking and two-toning and operate drying equipment
Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
Protect Chamberlain Group’s and Systems’ reputation by keeping information confidential.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.
