About The Position

East Penn Mfg., a world class leader in automotive battery manufacturing, is expanding our distribution network and has an opening in our Ashland, Virginia Warehouse. We are looking for a highly motivated, customer-focused Industrial Service Technician to join our world-class family of employees. This position will include an excellent starting wage of $22.00 - $25.00 per hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, prescription drug, a 401-K savings plan, and paid time off. Requirements

• Mechanical ability.
• Electrical background, AC/DC knowledge is a plus.
• A valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Strong communication skills.
• Self-motivation.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the mechanical installation, maintenance, and service of industrial batteries, chargers, and battery charging equipment at the customer's facility.
• Dealing with customer complaints and down equipment.
• Travels to customer locations daily, primarily in the Greater Richmond, VA area, but covering all of Eastern Virginia.
• Evaluates battery and charging equipment.
• Makes on-site repairs of batteries and chargers.
• Creates and maintains documents explaining customer's fleet by type, amp hour, repairs, recommendations, billing, and repairs.
• Maintains regular attendance and ability to work mandatory overtime.
• Performs other duties as requested by Management.
