About The Position

The Industrial Safety Specialist is responsible for leading proactive safety programs in a manufacturing environment, applying general industry standards (OSHA/NFPA/ANSI), conducting risk assessments and investigations, aligning with ISO-based management practices, and driving continuous improvement in SQDC. We’re seeking an Industrial Safety Specialist to lead and support safety programs across our operations, driving a proactive safety culture focused on hazard identification, risk reduction, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of general industry safety standards (OSHA, NFPA, ANSI) and hands-on experience with risk assessments, job hazard analyses, incident investigations, corrective actions, and safety training. You’ll partner with operations, maintenance, and EHS leadership to conduct audits and inspections, analyze leading and lagging indicators, and support continuous improvement that enhances Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. Familiarity with ISO-based management systems is important—this role will help align safety practices with common ISO principles such as policy deployment, documented procedures, internal audits, corrective action, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university / college and a minimum of 3 years of experience in Industrial Safety OR a high school diploma / GED with a minimum 7 years of experience in Industrial Safety
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with risk management frameworks, and relevant certifications (e.g., GSP/ASP/CSP or equivalent)
  • 3–5 years in industrial safety within manufacturing or maintenance environments, experience with risk management frameworks, and relevant certifications (e.g., GSP/ASP/CSP or equivalent)

  • Contractor safety oversight
  • Machine guarding and LOTO support
  • Ergonomics, and emergency preparedness
