About The Position

Directs, coordinates and exercises functional safety authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of construction projects within area of assigned responsibility.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Field Safety and/or Industrial Safety Degree / COSS / CSP / CSST
• Must hold a valid TWIC Card
• Must hold a valid OSHA Basic Plus
• Must be able to pass all Safety Council related courses
• Must undergo Pre-Employment Screening (physical, drug & alcohol screen, audiogram, fit test if applicable)
• Must hold a valid Driver’s License to operate company equipment and/or vehicles

Nice To Haves

• Encouraged to hold NCCER Certification in Field Safety

Responsibilities

• Perform and complete job safety plans and job safety analysis.
• Perform, coordinate and implement safety activities and initiatives at project sites and evaluate and control environmental hazards.
• Provide hands-on approach to assessing, developing, improving and implementing safety programs and systems.
• Conduct safety specific orientation for all new hires.
• Conduct site inspections. Assist in maintaining records for reporting and certification purposes.
• Verify and document compliance along with the status of such items as required certifications, drug-testing program and safety manual.
• Investigate and assist if filing out reporting documentation of all accidents, injuries and near misses on the project site and notify appropriate personnel, and case management of associated claims.
• Post documentation and forms at each project site regarding safety signage, workers comp, in case of emergency posters, etc.
• Conduct regular inspections to include preventative maintenance on project site equipment.
• Perform or assist in training employees on safety requirements to ensure compliance to company safety rules and procedures.
• Duties may include light administration and assistance to Project Superintendent.
