About The Position

Clariant is currently looking for an Industrial Room Operator to support operations in Belen, New Mexico. This role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of equipment and processes within the industrial room. This includes monitoring, maintaining, and adjusting machinery and processes to meet production goals, quality standards, and safety protocols. The Industrial Room Operator plays a key role in identifying and troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance. This is a full time, onsite opportunity with multiple shifts. Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred but not required
• Manufacturing experience preferred but not required
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time and able to lift to 35lbs
• Must be able to fluently read/write in English
• Basic mathematical skills are a must
• Must possess good time management skills and the ability to work in fast paced environment

Responsibilities

• Read and review process orders for specific instructions and specifications
• Must maintain clear and legible documentation on all required in process forms
• Operate bag and packet sealing machines
• Ability to visually inspect material before packaging, read and use a ruler
• Monitor bag and packet quality in accordance with specifications and frequency requirements
• Alert technician of defective material
• Make machine adjustments by using a variety of tools (wrenches, etc.)
• Maintain housekeeping on the machines and other areas within the department
• Must have the ability to follow all department procedures and abide by all Clariant rules and safety regulations
• Communicate and report issues to leadership
• Other tasks/duties pertaining to department needs
