OUR OPENING Journey Construction is seeking an Industrial Project Manager to join our team in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In this role you'll lead multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-performance industrial and treatment facility projects from planning through commissioning, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and schedule objectives are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 5-10+ years of experience in industrial or heavy construction, project management, or related roles
  • Proven experience leading complex projects and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client-management skills
  • Deep understanding of construction processes, safety, budgeting, and scheduling
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and lead teams to deliver results
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency with project management and reporting tools such as Microsoft Office and construction systems

Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of project execution - from preconstruction through close-out - with a focus on safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance
  • Serve as the primary client interface and internal project leader
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, owners, and field teams to align project scope and implementation
  • Oversee progress reporting, deliverables, and communication across teams
  • Participate in resource planning, team development, and problem-solving to ensure exceptional project outcomes
  • Monitor project performance and take proactive actions to address issues and risks
