The primary responsibilities for this Page-Wide Press Installation Technician position will be to provide skilled technical support working closely with customers, HP Install Project Managers, and technical partners in support of PWP installations and upgrades. This will require the install technician to apply extensive knowledge of the job skills, company policies and procedures to complete complex, specialized assignments/tasks in creative and effective ways. Works on assignments that are complex in nature and requires considerable judgment, initiative, and technical/specialized knowledge to resolve problems and/or develop recommended solutions. This role will mainly be installing and upgrading well-functioning computer networks and systems.

  • Provide skilled technical support for PWP installations and upgrades.
  • Apply extensive knowledge of job skills, company policies, and procedures.
  • Complete complex, specialized assignments/tasks creatively and effectively.
  • Install and upgrade computer networks and systems.
  • Troubleshoot and validate process/product equipment using schematics and guides.
  • Execute testing to identify and correct system problems at component levels.
  • Work independently to determine root causes of common system problems.
  • Collaborate with experts to resolve complex systems and interface problems.
  • Minimum Vocational/Diploma/Associate Degree in a technical field.
  • 6+ years of working experience in a related field.
  • Experience with support of a full range of HP products.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 60%.
  • Strong mechanical/electrical skills and experience.
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Linux and Windows.
  • Experience reading schematics and troubleshooting electrical issues.
  • Knowledge/Experience of PWP press platforms and third-party equipment solutions.
  • Customer-facing experience with professional interactions.
  • Understanding of 3 phase electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of press paper path system and subsystems components.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols, and network technologies.
