About The Position

The position requires skills in assisting with deep foundation installation, including timber piles, concrete piles, sheet piles, drill shafts, and auger cast. The candidate must have experience in erecting, disassembling, and working with pile driving equipment, as well as basic rigging knowledge and general construction duties. The role involves physical labor and teamwork, with a focus on safety and adherence to company policies.

Requirements

• 2+ years of industrial field experience as a Pile Driver Helper.
• Valid TWIC Card.
• Valid OSHA Basic Plus certification.
• Ability to pass all Safety Council related courses.
• Undergo Pre-Employment Screening (physical, drug & alcohol screen, audiogram, fit test if applicable).
• Valid Driver’s License to operate company equipment and/or vehicles.

Nice To Haves

• NCCER Basic Rigger Certification or willingness to test.

Responsibilities

• Assist craftsman in all essential functions.
• Erect and dismantle lattice boom cranes.
• Obtain necessary tools and components and lay out work.
• Interpret hand signals to direct cranes for pile driving activities.
• Follow instructions accurately.
• Prepare, align, plumb, set, stress, test, pull, weld, cut off, and cap piling of any type including steel and concrete piles.
• Splice, bark, head, and shoe piling, and perform rigging and signaling connected with these tasks.
• Use hand and power tools proficiently.
• Perform physical labor requiring considerable use of arms and legs, including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
• Act as a team lead and mentor to less experienced laborers.
• Use safety gear and practice safe work habits according to company policy.
• Rig equipment and material to be set into place.
• Use tools and equipment necessary to complete job tasks.
