About The Position

Yates Industries is seeking an Industrial Painter for their Austell, GA plant. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Able to prioritize jobs
• Able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
• Mechanical background
• Ability to read basic blueprints
• Able to read a tape measure and calipers
• Prior industrial painting experience is a must
• CARC painting experience preferred

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure

Responsibilities

• Deburr, wash, and prepare all cylinders and components for paint
• Paint all cylinders with sprayer using various types of coatings: primers, epoxy paint, CARC paint
• Prepare cylinders for painting by removing old paint, rust, grease, dirt, and other debris
• Mask and protect parts that are not to be painted
• Mix paint according to manufacturer's specifications
• Inspect painted cylinders for quality of workmanship, noting and correcting runs, sags, and unpainted areas
• Operate all equipment in a safe manner in accordance with company policies
• Maintain and wear all PPE in accordance with company policies
• Comply with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials
• Report any deviations to management immediately
• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work area and assist in keeping the shop clean and organized
• Other duties as assigned.
